About

The Big Bear Valley Branch of the American Association of University Women (BBV-AAUW) was founded in 1983 and currently offers mission projects , activities, fellowship, and opportunities for leadership for our valued members.

Our mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research in the Big Bear Valley.

National AAUW has been empowering women as individuals and as a community since 1881. For more than 130 years, this grassroots organization has worked to improve the lives of millions of women and their families.

Members take positions on the fundamental issues of the day facing women and girls— educational, social, economic, and political.  Entirely volunteer run, our board and officers are elected in the spring and serve a one-year term.
