About

The Big Bear Valley branch of AAUW believes in fulfilling our mission, as often as possible, through fun-filled events that provide members with opportunities to get acquainted and form bonds that make for engaged and active members.

Dine-outs at local restaurants are purely social events in which members may bring a guest.  If you are looking for friends to wind-down the day, Margarita Monday is a monthly happy hour for our members at a local watering hole.

Fundraising events include the bi-annual Women in the Arts Luncheon and the kick-off for the Give Big campaign that benefits our Tech Trek program.

An informational workshop and a bag lunch define our Lunch and Learn sessions.  Topics range from health issues to emergency response information to the great outdoors.

The branch also supports other Community non-profits, by promoting events and volunteerism.  Many of our member volunteers serve on their boards of directors and in leadership positions.

Please, as a courtesy to our hosts, RSVP when requested.
