Our branch members are generous with their time in volunteering with other community groups and non-profits, including assuming leadership roles and serving on boards of directors. We believe that our place in the community extends beyond our own mission. These are but a few of many such activities:

• “Adopt a Shoreline” lake shore cleanup – Municipal Water District;
• Community Garden – Establish, maintain and harvest –  Food Bank
• Mountain Fun Day – Activities day for those with special needs – Kiwanis;
• Xeriscape  – An bi-annual tour of local water efficient gardens co-sponsored by the Sierra Club. The public may purchase tickets and get a driving map to the locations, that change every time Xeriscape is held;
• Board of Directors positions with the Bear Valley Community Healthcare District (BVCHD) Board of Directors and the BVCHD Foundation, The Friends of the Big Bear Alpine Zoo, the Sierra Club, Soroptimists, and others.
